This Privacy Policy describes how Opus Medical ("Opus," "we," "us," or "our") handles information in connection with the website at opus-med.com and related subdomains (the "Site"). The Site is intended for healthcare professionals, hospital and ASC administrators, and other business partners evaluating our spinal implant systems.

2. Information we collect
We may collect:
- Information you provide, such as name, role, facility, email address, interest area, and notes submitted through the contact form, or other communications you send us.
- Access credentials, such as whether you successfully authenticate to password-protected areas of the Site (we store a session cookie after login; we do not store your password in the browser).
- Technical and usage data, such as IP address, browser type, device type, approximate location derived from IP, pages viewed, referring URLs, and timestamps, when collected by our hosting, analytics, or security providers.
- Preference data, such as light/dark theme selection stored in your browser (local storage).
The Site is not designed to collect protected health information (PHI) or patient medical records. Please do not submit patient identifiers or clinical case data through general contact forms.

We use information to:

- Authenticate access to restricted materials (for example, technique documentation)
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms
- Communicate about Opus products, training, or partnership opportunities when appropriate
4. Cookies and similar technologies
We use essential cookies for Site authentication (session access after password entry). We may also use local storage for theme preference. If we enable optional analytics or marketing cookies in the future, we will update this Policy and, where required, provide consent controls.
5. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:
- Service providers who help us host the Site, deliver email (for example, contact form delivery), provide security, or support operations, under appropriate confidentiality obligations
- Professional advisors such as legal or compliance counsel when reasonably necessary
- Authorities when required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and security
- Business transfers in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate protections
6. Data retention
We retain personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described above, including relationship management, legal compliance, dispute resolution, and security requirements. Retention periods may vary by category of data and legal obligations.
7. Security
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Password-protected areas reduce unauthorized access to certain materials but are not a substitute for broader information-security controls.
8. International visitors
The Site may be hosted or accessed from the United States and other countries. If you access the Site from outside the United States, you understand that information may be processed in the U.S. or other jurisdictions with different data-protection laws.
9. Children
The Site is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected such information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
10. Your choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or restriction of certain personal information, or to object to certain processing. To exercise a request, email sales@opus-med.com. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request. You may also control cookies and local storage through your browser settings.
